In the heart of Transylvania, there is a town called Szováta (Sovata), a hidden gem for architecture lovers. It’s like travelling back to the beginning of the 20th century.
Quince season means autumn has arrived. Harvesting the last pieces of plums and peppers and picking the last apples from the tree. Geraniums and friends are still going strong before winter storing. Freshly caught wild trout from the local river, laying on a tray before being prepared as home-made sushi. (2/10/22)
There is a charming place somewhere in the middle of the forest. These stone steps lead to a tiny shed surrounded by a beech forest at the back and morello cherry and plum trees at the front.
